EUCLID
Il telescopio spaziale Euclid dell'Agenzia spaziale Europea è una missione progettata per mappare l'universo oscuro. Il suo obiettivo principale è studiare le caratteristiche e gli effetti di materia oscura ed energia oscura, che costituiscono circa il 95% del nostro cosmo, creando la più grande mappa 3D dell'Universo mai realizzata. È un progetto che ha avuto una gestazione ventennale ed è entrato in orbita da Cape Canaveral il primo luglio 2023.
Grazie all'Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica ho avviato un progetto a lungo termine che mira a raccontare il lavoro degli scienziati, degli informatici e delle aziende che hanno contribuito alla costruzione di Euclid.
The Euclid space telescope of the European Space Agency is a mission designed to map the dark universe. Its main objective is to study the characteristics and effects of dark matter and dark energy, which make up approximately 95% of our cosmos, by creating the largest 3D map of the Universe ever made. It is a project that has been in development for twenty years and entered orbit from Cape Canaveral on July 1, 2023.
Thanks to the National Institute for Astrophysics, I have launched a long-term project that aims to tell the story of the work of the scientists, computer scientists, and companies that contributed to the construction of Euclid.
